Program Details

Benjamin Britten’s ambitious War Requiem is a heartfelt memorial to the dead of all wars. Combining the Latin mass text with anti-war poetry of WW1 soldier Wilfred Owen, this massive work with full orchestra, vocal soloists, organ, and children’s chorus is a timeless denunciation of warfare and a provocative plea for peace.
