Raymond Posey lives in Philadelphia and is retired following two different careers. After earning an engineering degree from Brown University, Ray worked in the power generation industry first as an engineer and later as an executive, retiring as a division general manager at BWXT. He then became a Professor of Business Administration at the University of Mount Union and retired from there as an Associate Academic Dean. During his career Ray earned an MBA and a Doctor of Business Administration with a Finance major.
Ray grew up singing with his musician mother and sang for a short time with the Columbus Boychoir. He was also a dedicated trumpet player and was the principal trumpet of his college orchestra. He returned to singing as an adult and has performed with several auditioned choruses as a tenor. Ray has been a board member of Children’s Ballet Theatre in Akron, OH and a board member of Tampa Oratorio Singers in Tampa, Florida.
Ray first sang with BCI in 2014 and has sung every year there were programs since then. He met his wife to be, Terry, singing the “War Requiem” in Sheffield with BCI. Singing with BCI has become an essential part of his summer activities and Ray is delighted to be able to help shape BCI’s bright future.
